An
awe-inspiring visit to the Caves of Petralona, near
the town of Nea Moudania.The cave itself is a miracle
of nature, as well as the place where one of the most
important prehistoric finds was discovered. In the
1960’s when the cave was explored, a skull and
some tools were found, which date back no less than
600.000 years. Stalactite and stalagmite formations
make unique sights that no one should miss out on.
This trip which is a half day in duration, takes you
to the town of Nea Moudania, were you will have the
chance to walk the roads of this pretty town, as well
as visiting the open market, which takes place.
